Struguraș motel mosaic
A 1965 mosaic on the side facade of the now-abandoned Struguraș motel at șos. Hâncești 230, on the south-western edge of Chișinău in the Telecentru area. A warm-toned figurative smalt panel: three elongated, stylized women hold bowls of round red fruit before a great fan-shaped canopy of gold, ochre and terracotta tesserae, crowned by a white sun disc, with a stylized flower, a decorative jug and a turquoise pool at its base — a harvest-and-abundance scene fitting a roadside motel named „Struguraș” (little grape cluster). It is traditionally attributed to Aurel David, though the official register records no author. Until 2018 it was classified as an art monument of national importance; it is now listed in the National Register of Public Forum Monuments, code C-A-mc-016.
