At riskAn ensemble of twelve ceramic panels from 1962 by Vladimir Novikov and Filip Nutovici, set in the frieze of the colonnaded pavilion at the entrance to the Valea Morilor park (the former Central Park of Culture), above the monumental granite cascade staircase. The panels are devoted to sport — runners, a cyclist, an oarsman — and to amateur artistic performance, worked in irregular ceramic tesserae over a warm terracotta-and-ochre ground, the figures stylized in blue, red, yellow and green. The ensemble is now badly deteriorated: in 2026 the press reported it is degrading irreparably, one panel having lost almost half its tiles, fallen to the ground below.
