Dental-polyclinic mosaic medallion
A ceramic-tile mosaic medallion on the facade of the dental polyclinic on bd. Constantin Negruzzi, in the Centru district — today the Municipal Stomatological Centre at Negruzzi 3. The medallion is the work of Petru (Pётр) Hămuraru, one of the Hămuraru brothers, the family of mosaicists who made a large share of Soviet Chișinău's panels (usually from Filimon Hămuraru's sketches, executed by his sons Petru and Semion). It is recorded in the guide Alexandru Pavlov's documentary series „All the Mosaics of Chișinău”, which names the author but gives no year. The building survives and operates as an active dental centre; the medallion remains in situ. The work is distinct from Mihail Buria's „Legend of Chișinău” panel (1973), which stood on the same Negruzzi boulevard about 100 m away and was demolished in 2021.
