Ustia memorial-park mosaic

A monumental mosaic covering the end wall of a Soviet building in the memorial park of Ustia village, Dubăsari district, next to the monument to fallen soldiers (the 1944 common grave and the 1941–1945 villagers' memorial). Made of small tesserae and river pebbles, the panel spreads a radiant sun and figures across a field of muted ochre, red and blue; it is badly weathered, with areas where the tesserae have fallen away. It is a separate work from the R50-road bus shelter in the same village. The author, year and exact subject are undocumented. Its deteriorated condition warrants an "at-risk" status.
