A Soviet-era mosaic on a roadside spring (well) in Hîrtop, the seat village of Hîrtop commune in Cimișlia district, southern Moldova, attested in 1884. In Moldovan villages, built-up springs and wells are works of communal importance, deeply tied to local tradition, and some were decorated — in the Soviet period or by folk craft — with mosaic or relief. Nothing is recorded about this panel: neither author, year, nor subject is documented, and the Mosaics of Moldova inventory provides no freely-licensed photograph; on Wikimedia Commons the village name returns images of the house of culture, town hall, church and the L579 roadside landscapes, but none shows the mosaic spring. Status: unprotected.
