Mosaic roadside spring on road L314
The second mosaic spring in the Drăsliceni area, this one on road L314 in the Criuleni district — out in open country, between the villages of Hîrtopul Mare and Ișnovăț. Unlike the well at the entrance to Drăsliceni, the work here is a low, wide wall beside a roadside crucifix (troiță): a ground of small tesserae from which stag silhouettes emerge, edged with Moldovan folk borders. The two springs share the stag theme and the company of a roadside cross, but they are distinct sites on different roads, a few kilometres apart. The inventory coordinate is approximate (the Drăsliceni commune centroid); the precise location comes from the Wikimedia Commons file description. Here too the author and year are undocumented — another instance of the Soviet habit of decorating Moldova's roadside springs and bus stops.
