A ceramic-tile mosaic on the façade of a building in the railway-station alley, made by the artist Mihai Burea to welcome travellers arriving in the capital. The panel bears the coat of arms of the Moldavian SSR. Only its upper portion is visible today — a café later built in front of the building hides the lower half, and archive photographs show the full composition was considerably larger.
