Cahul 'circus' kindergarten mosaics

At risk

A set of smaller mosaics scattered across the exterior walls of a large kindergarten on the northern edge of Cahul's town centre. The characters come from the circus world — clowns and cheerful figures — alongside a face of Ștefan cel Mare. Their condition varies widely: some are well preserved (especially those at the back of the building), others are "hanging on by a thread," hence the at-risk status. It is a separate work from kindergarten no. 14 "Spicușor" (str. Fiodor Seliviorstov), about 250 m away. The author and year are unknown. No free photographs exist (the only visual documentation, Michael Harrison's photo-essay, is copyrighted); the gallery stays empty. The coordinates are approximate, from a single source.
